Randy's Poetry

Welcome to my poetry corner
I was a little shy about having my picture posted to the internet, but with a little family coaxing,
they managed to convince me that many people would be aided in feeling a
connection to me if they could see me. This
picture was taken in 1991 at Mt Rainier in Washington State. This
drum has been through many changes in the last few years, but still
retains the Bear & Eagle that are my primary totems. |
This is my first poem. Enjoy
Hugs of the Wind
Today I looked out the window and saw a
radiant
rainbow where the sunshine was peeking through the clouds.
The wind was hugging the trees and kissing the
flowers like a friend they had not seen since they
went to sleep for their long winter nap.
Ribbons of laughter and tears of joy floated
through the sky like secrets passed between angels.
Light as the sunshine and soft as the morning dew on a rose petal.
The world was fresh, new and peaceful,
as if seen through the eyes of a child.
Simple and pure.
